The Finish Line is Approaching (Blog 6)

After working on the genius project since May of 2016, the project is close to coming to an end and my really dream will come to reality. So far, I have written numerous articles, blogs, and podcasts about sports. I plan on making a set of blogs or podcasts about topics different from sports. With prop C declining in San Diego for the Chargers, this something that I can relate to for sports and economic principles that I have learned in AP Economics from Ms. Solis. By talking about the economic prosperity that San Diego could have had would something that viewers would possibly like to see. For the Genius Project, the teachers have added a new component to end it all together: a Ted Talk to present in front of all the Juniors and Seniors at the high school. The Ted Talk needs to consist of a culminate final, live TED style presentation in which you address the following questions: What was your initial project and where did you end up? What were the basics of your intent and idea, and how did that morph into your final product? What have you learned about your passion? Did your passion change throughout this? What caused that change? What have you learned about your challenges? What was difficult about this project? What surprised you about what was most difficult? What have you learned about how to impact a community? Who was the community you intended to reach? Did you reach them? Why or why not?

With these additions, I believe that I will be able to be relatively close to my original goal for the genius project. I hope that I can use this to reach out to job or internship opportunities when I go off to college in the future. I would love to do something baseball, basketball or football related. This is how I plan to make my dream, reality.
